In 1895, a young machinist named Abram Zimmerman opened a small repair shop in New Holland, Pennsylvania. He could not have imagined that his modest workshop would one day become one of the largest agricultural machinery brands in the world.
New Holland's early breakthrough came in 1947 with the model 76 — the world's first successful self-propelled combine harvester. This invention changed the face of agriculture forever and established New Holland as a true innovator.
In 1986, Ford Motor Company acquired New Holland, merging it with Ford's tractor division. The blue Ford tractors adopted the New Holland name, and a new era began. By 2013, the brand had become part of CNH Industrial — a global powerhouse in agricultural and construction equipment.
